Patterson-Seibert Tournament 8.0

This tournament took place July 20, 2021, and included GyroWave, Stab, Son of Razor, Unnamed, Phoenix, and Atticus. It was the first tournament to use double-elimination. GyroWave won the title—after losing in the second round, it won the loser's bracket and defeated Stab.

Trivia
  • Every bot in the losers' bracket was some kind of horizontal spinner (including full-body/shell spinners), and the only bot to never enter it, Stab, was a hammerbot.
  • Both of Atticus' fights were against large horizontal spinners.

Vlad the Impaler, the actual BattleBot Forks was based on.

Forks was a bot built by Dutch that competed in his tournaments in 2019. It was middleweight champion that year.

Son of Razor

Son of Razor was a middleweight top spinner built by David. It competed in many Patterson-Seibert Tournaments, and reached the finals of the first and thirteenth ones. It got to the finals of All-Team Tournament 4.0 before losing to Circle of Death.

Stab

Stab was a heavyweight bot, armed with a rubber-band hammer, built by Ethan. Ironically, it didn't have any stabbing or piercing weapon at first. It competed in three Patterson-Seibert Tournaments (6.0, 7.0, and 8.0), finishing as the runner-up in 6.0 and defeating GyroWave for the title in 7.0.

Patterson BattleBox

The Patterson BattleBox is the arena in which fights at the Pattersons' are now held. It is a roughly six-foot by two-foot board, with walls on the long sides.

Hazards
Pulverizers
The only hazards in the Patterson BattleBox are the two Pulverizers, which are huge hand-powered hammers, one at each end of the box. Despite their fearsome size, they usually don't cause serious damage to competitors.

Tension was a lightweight bot built by Ethan. It was armed with a rubber-band hammer. It was the first bot to self-right, and reached the finals of the first Patterson-Seibert Tournament.

Tension vs Minotaur II
In this exhibitation match, Tension was flipped by Minotaur and counted out.

Tension vs GyroWave
Tension lost by KO again.

Patterson-Seibert Tournament 1.0
Tension vs Son of Razor
Tension was flipped early on, but self-righted. It lost in the end.

Tension vs Minotaur II
Tension won in the first hit by flipping Minotaur on its back, advancing to fight SOR again.

Tension vs Son of Razor
Tension missed SOR and got stuck on the edge of the arena immediately. However, the referee (Dutch) ruled that since the bots never touched, they should have a rematch.

Tension vs Son of Razor
After a hard fight (in which it lost its hammer) Tension got stuck again. However, Ethan dislodged it by bouncing on the trampoline. As the rules weren't clear on whether that was okay, another rematch was decided upon.

Tension vs Son of Razor
This time Tension lost most of its top half including the hammer, but won by KO in the end.

Tension vs GyroWave
Tension was flipped with the first weapon-to weapon hit. However, as Dutch was cleaning up, he noticed that GyroWave's back wheels were knocked off. Thus it was a double KO.

Tension vs GyroWave
This time, Tension's weapon broke in the weapon-to-weapon clash, but so did GyroWave's. GyroWave kept ramming until it reduced Tension to a frame and four wheels. The next hit flipped Tension and took off two wheels. GyroWave won by KO.

Charge! was a lightweight robot built by Dutch Patterson on July 12, 2021. It competed in the Patterson-Seibert Tournament 5.0. It had a minibot called MINIHUGE.
